Common Misconceptions of CBD

Common Misconceptions of CBD

In this day and age, the CBD is a market growing rapidly and shows no sign of slowing down, like ever. There are, however, still many misconceptions about CBD. With these false conceptions, it’s hard to decipher what is true and what’s false. In this blog post, we’re here to bring clarity and truth to what exactly is CBD.

Misconception #1:

CBD can get you high…

One of the most common misconceptions about CBD is that it’s basically the same thing as marijuana and can therefore cause a “high”. This misconception has caused many people (including my mother for a long time) to turn a blind eye to CBD and write off it completely. The legal amount of THC allowed in CBD products being sold in the United States is 0.3%, however, there are products and brands out there that focus on Broad Spectrum CBD - which for us, means that our CBD products contain a variety of other terpenes, cannabinoids and other beneficial compounds found in the hemp plant - but what it also means is that our process includes extracting any traces of THC, making our products 0.0% THC. This way, you get to experience all of the amazing benefits without the fear of any THC-related side effects. Our products harness the full power of the hemp plant without the THC - for your mind and your body’s benefit.

It’s all up to you and your personal preference, but keep in mind that some companies who create CBD products do allow a small percentage of THC in their products. At Better Conditions we are dedicated to removing all traces of THC in all of our Premium CBD products. This means 0.0% THC, with third party lab testing and Certificates of Analysis (COAs) to prove it. We believe you should be able to enjoy CBD without fear of a potential THC-related side effects, so we eliminate it altogether.

Misconception #2:

CBD is only for those with specific illnesses…

CBD has been put under the assumption by some that it is only for those who are sick, when in reality, yes, it can help many people suffering from illness, but it can also be a big help for just about anybody else as well! CBD is definitely not a one-trick pony when it comes to its abilities, according to Health Line's article on CBD benefits. CBD is a non-prescription product that can help provide relief from muscle pain, anxiety, and has even been shown to help with PTSD, for example. Sure, it can be a huge game-changer and healer for those who are sick or battling a disease, but CBD can be helpful in many more ways than one.

Misconception #3:

CBD is an addictive product…

This is a large misconception that has been proven wrong by many studies. One study specifically revealed that there is no correlation between addiction and CBD. In other words, you can’t become addicted to CBD oil or products containing cannabidiol of any kind. In fact, we now have studies that have revealed that CBD can actually reverse addiction by blocking the addictive effects of using morphine as well as other incredibly addictive painkillers. How does this work? Well, CBD does this by the reduction of pleasure the body feels while taking strong painkillers that can often be known to be addictive. By blocking this symptom that is often known to come with harmful painkillers, CBD prevents a potential addiction of arising.

Misconception #4:

That all CBD is created equally, regardless of where it comes from…

There can be a tremendous difference in the CBD brands and products out there today, and because it is not FDA-regulated, it is up to you to ensure you’re investing in the most premium CBD. Not all CBD is created equally. The FDA has no part in monitoring the CBD industry and the process of production of this good - this essentially means that companies can move as they please without regulation, and while there are laws guiding the CBD industry today, it is up to you to do your research and choose a company you can trust. This is a big contributor as to why not every brand that offers CBD will do the same thing nor carry the most quality ingredients. This is an area that we are really proud of at Better Conditions - we have done our research and invested in the most transparent, quality USA Hemp partners that help us to produce the most premium products. We truly believe that our standards are rare to find in the CBD market today. When our family first started searching for CBD products for our own health needs, it was extremely hard to find a brand that had all the important qualities we feel a CBD company should stand by. It is our mission to provide our customers with the most premium, Broad-Spectrum CBD, that is always third party tested, organic, and with only the most natural ingredients. We are also dedicated to offering our products at a fair price, because we started this company because we want to change people’s lives for the better.

Let’s switch gears for a minute… One of the more scientific, and very important ways to spot the difference in what makes Premium quality CBD is if the product is safely extracted from a trusted plant source and has its ingredients clearly labeled.

In fact, let’s discuss how to know your CBD is high quality…

  1. Pay attention to where the hemp or cannibas is grown, it should be included on the label. For example, Better Conditions is 100% grown and formulated in the USA.
  2. Find out what the extraction method is… The most trusted method is known as “Supercritical CO2 extraction”. This is known to result in the highest quality hemp oil.
  3. Don’t forget to evaluate the ingredients and watch for anything unnatural or unsafe listed.
  4. Ensure that the company you choose provides certificates of analysis (COAs) via third-party lab testing. Most reliable CBD companies will provide the lab results for each product on their website. You can see our lab results here.

With so many misconceptions evolving around the CBD industry, it can be hard to find the truth - trust me, we’ve been there ourselves. Doing your own research and finding a brand that carries only the most quality, premium CBD is crucial. Our family at Better Conditions prides ourselves on carrying the highest-grade Broad-Spectrum CBD that you and your loved ones can trust. We provide third-party lab results because what we put in our bodies is important to us, and we all deserve to know what our products are made of and to have proof that they’re high quality. When looking for CBD, transparency is everything. We’d love for you to check out our virtual store and find what product works best for you.

From our family to yours, we hope you feel better.
